Just lurking

I haven't posted in a while but I have been lurking around GHF.

workouts are great. Kine and I have a routine that works for us. I love that we are both at the same level and compliment eachother. It's great to actually feel my muscles for a change. Yesterday we worked ourselves hard and we left the gym totally exhausted. Great feeling.

I have started running outdoors twice a week. Thursday I run 8.5km while my daughter is at soccer training. the coach asked me (jokingly)if I could take the other parents with me. When I ask if any would like to join me they all come up with excuses of why they can't. So I actually have been giving some thought to starting a Parents Beginners Bootcamp. It would have to be something simple since these parents all say the same thing, 'I haven't worked out in such a long time that I don't think I could do it'. My response, 'You have to start somewhere'. We'll see.

Small Decisions

So, everytime I've tried to get in shape I've gone through the same routine.

I do really good for 2-3 weeks. Then something comes up and I miss a workout. Next thing you know I'm making excuses. I'll say to myself, "I'll catch up tomorrow..." or "I did such and such today, that's like a workout..."

Well, today was one of those days. For some background, right now I work in Detroit, but live in the Chicago area. My work has a furnished apartment for me, and I go home every weekend.

So, today was my travel day to work, and it was a long day. I got to my apartment and I had every excuse in the book ready. Long drive, long day, headache, blah blah blah...Cubs are on ESPN tonight.

Georgia girl needs to lose 40-50 lbs

Hello everyone. I'm new to the program. I'm starting tomorrow. I'm 32 years old and just moved to Georgia from Florida. About a year ago I went on a strict diet at a weight lose clinic and lost 57 lbs, I had toe surgery in February, and gained about 10 lbs back, now that I'm in Georgia and starting a new phase in my life I want a new change in my eating, healthier life. I want to lose about 40-50 lbs.

Current weight 225 lbs.
Bust: 45 1/2
Chest: 42
Waist: 49
Hips: 50
Thighs: 25
Knees: 19
Calves: 17 1/2
Upper Arm: 17 1/2
Forearms: 10 1/2
