I didn't post an entry last week as my plans didn't work out. Reason - FEAR.
That Friday I made an excuse not to go to class. Saturday I got up and prepared to go to kick boxing and was overcome with FEAR so took the dog for a walk instead.
Didn't go to Aikido on Monday. Don't talk about the class on Tuesday - didn't go!

BUT last Friday I plucked up the courage to attend the karate class. No Gi like the other students just me in t-shirt and joggers but I went. What a fool I have been - I had a great time. Everybody was very friendly. So I have joined the club.

I haven't trained in any other classes because it was a holiday weekend but yesterday prepared to go to karate for the Tuesday class. The doubts crept in again but I went only to be told that there wasn't a class even though it's advertised on the karate school web site. Oh well at least I made the effort.

goals for the week

beccajbaldwin's picture

Ok, this post is a bit late, but here I am! :)

I don't know what's going on with my shins the last week.. They were healing like normal, and then all of a sudden they started feeling worse again after we went on a walk on the sidewalk on the beach. It wasn't even a brisk walk or anything... :-/ So I'm not sure what's going on, but after that my shins started hurting worse. I believe they have finally been feeling better the last couple days, but it's definitely throwing off my routine and I'm getting a little frustrated about it.

I've found out that my weekly routine really is being held together by 2 things. #1 is my M/W/F strength training routine, and #2 is my Tu/Th/Sa running routine. If either of those two things are thrown off, or I have to skip days from any of them for any reason, the rest of my routines are really a struggle and I start making excuses not to stick to things which is something I was so proud I hadn't been doing in so long.

Day 1 - feeling good

jenn@aldaynet.org's picture

Today was day 1 for me. It started out good. Around 3pm I was hungry, and as the day went on I was even more hungry. It seemed like a lot of food in the morning but today was my High carb day.

I take a vitimin everyday, and I need it to give me energy, well around 3 pm today I relized I had forgotten to take it. I was surpised how I didn't NEED it for the energy. :-)

I attached my food for the day.

I'm ready for day 2!

2 Days 2 Full Commitment

dukowitz@gmail.com's picture

Two more days of work then, I'll be off for FOUR YEARS!!!! :)
(insert HUGE smile here) :)

Not much to speak of in terms of working out ...injured piriformis muscle - torqued the pelvis - made right leg almost an inch short than left leg - interesting situation

Yeah - four years off work, maybe a bit more, because I'm ending my job in the field of network engineering and heading back to school to become a chiropractor! :)

I'm currently enrolled in an Accelerated Science Program at Logan College of Chiropractic located in Chesterfield, MO. I'll be finishing up some prerequisite science classes between now and the end of the year and then will be starting the doctorate program (to which I've already been accepted) in January 2009.
