Runners high

You never really know what runners high is until it happens to you. Anytime I run outdoors I get it. I never get it on a treadmill.

Yesterday the weather was awesome so I decided to take a run out in the woods. So out the door I went at 9:30am. Ran a 12km (7.5mile) route that was mostly small up and down hills (first 10 minutes was hard) for the first 8 km (5miles) and then mostly downhill on the way home. Some of the downhills were quite steep and it's a nature trail so I was afraid of sliping. I will need to get comfortable with that so I don't injure myself. Running downhill I was very aware of my form (yes, I know you need form when running too) because I have a friend who has skin splits and I don't want them. But I was so jazzed to have completed it. Granted I walked some in the beginning but it was more about completing the run than time.
