Day One...

So, I'm finally here! Boy, doesn't it feel great! I can't wait to get started. I ran a couple miles today. Well, I walked too. It took me about an hour to jog/walk 3 miles. I even ate right, I hope. Haha.

I have yet received my workout plan or diet plan from Julie and Chad, but I'm really looking forward to it. I have this drive to suceed with that extra help that I think everyone need to be successful. I have everything printed out and downloaded, for the most part. I'm wanting to lose (at least)30 pounds. If there is anyone who has lost 30+ pounds, or the same goal, contact me and we'll keep in touch throughout this process.

Well I have been doing well, I did my strenght workout this morning.
Boy I have my moments when I really wanna just pig out. I was upset yesterday and the 1st thing that came to mind was to EAT! I hate that feeling, but I didn't give into it.
What do you do when your upset?
I have been craving Pizza, any suggestions?

Editor ready to reshape her body

Hi! I'm Lisa and I'm totally new to GHF, and to blogging. I've been an avid exerciser for years. I lost a ton of weight a few years ago but in the last year and a half it's come back on, even though I didn't change my diet or exercise. Now it won't come off! Needless to say, I'm quite upset by this, especially considering I already follow a healthy diet and exercise about 2 hours a day. I'm really hoping GHF can help me reach my fitness and weight loss goals.

I'll be starting with Workout 1 of Phase 5/week 5 tonight. It's so different from what I'm used to doing, but I'm looking forward to it!

New week

This is the beginning of my 4th week. The first two weeks were the worst because it was the end of spring semester and I was not balancing my life very well. Last week was my vacation, which allowed me to relax, and take advantage of the readings on this website.

This week I begin my summer session at school and I hope to better balance my life. Last semester I took 5 classes at the same time, but this session was able to schedule my classes better (for the first four week session I am taking two classes and a few field trips, and for the second four week session I get to focus on one class).

Bumpy start

This morning I did 30 min cardio on the recumbent bike, and then I did something that I don't normally do - had a snack right after working out.

Having a post-workout snack has made me have to change up my normal routine a bit. Usually I get up about 6 a.m. and have breakfast (usually a fruit smoothie) then get ready to go to the gym. By 8a.m. I am hitting the showers, then try to be at my desk by 8:30 a.m. I take synthroid to keep my hypo in check, and it is supposed to be taken at least two hours after eating, and then wait an hour to eat. Normally I take it as soon as I get to my desk, so I'm ready for my mid-morning snack.
