Midweek of Phase 5

LNMaresca@gmail.com's picture

I'm midway through my first week (I started out at phase 5). I haven't gotten my diet plan yet but this is what I'm eating and doing today.

Morning workout: 30 minute run. After a warm up I alternated 2 minutes of a fast jog at 5.8 mph at an incline of 2.5 with 1 minute of running at 8 mph at an incline of 1.5. At the very end I did a minute and a half of brisk walking at 5 mph at an incline of 10, then I cooled down and stretched.

Evening workout: workout 2 of phase 5 with short one minute bursts of cardio in between each circuit. It should take around a half or or so. I may do some extra abs at the end or a very quick round of cardio.

Quick Entry

I'm in a real hurry, but just for the sake of regularity, I'm posting today anyway: yesterday's workout went great and today I'm going backpacking (hence the hurry) which I can assume will substitute adequately for the 20 minutes of cardio I'd otherwise be doing.

Peace.

Weight Training today

laneerg@hotmail.com's picture

So this morning was my wt session on my own. I ended up getting to the gym a little earlier than usual (because my carpooler was sick) so I decided I'd do 3 sets. In all, I took about 40 minutes.

My workout was all on machines (5 upper body, 3 lower body), except for 12! ab exercises I did in the Captain's Chair. I forgot to write down what weights I did for each machine. Actually, started to list them out here, but couldn't remember the names of all the machines! It ended up that I ran kind of short on time in the end, so had to cut my stretching a bit. But I felt that I had a good workout overall.
