I just killed a camel spider!!! Oh my goodness, they are fast and scary!
So anyway....
Meal One: Half Turkey Sandwich
Meal Two: Celery & 1 Tbsp of 100% Peanut Butter* with an 8oz glass of Crystal Light
Meal Three: A Half & 2 Tbsp of 100% Peanut Butter* Sandwich with about 1/4 cup of Fat Free Cottage Cheese, along with another 8oz glass of Crystal Light
Workout: I decided that I'll only take Sunday off if I feel the need to. Sunday's kind of that little "umph!" to get me through the week. I did the Eliptical for 45min, burned 670 caliories and ran close to 4 miles.
Meal Four: A regular sized can of Tuna Fish in Water; drained. I mixed in the homemade salsa along with some cabbage salsa that my Dad brought home lastnight. I also had a few pieces of Broccoli; raw & plain.

What a big breakfast this morning! I'm incorporating what my nutritionist wants me to eat with GHF. She's trying to get me to eat about 1669 calories, which is proving a little challenging to me. But here's what I'm eating today:
Breakfast: 1/2 cup egg whites, oatmeal with protein freeze, orange, 4 ox. yogurt
Snack: Apple with peanut butter
Lunch: Vegetarian chili with a baked potato (plain)
Snacks: whey protein shake with 1/2 scoop whey protein, 1 cup skim milk, and 1/2 cup sliced strawberries; celery and carrot with hummus and a hard boiled egg
Dinner: salad with 3 oz. chicken, 1/4 cup brown rice, 1 tbsp feta.

Started off this morning with 1 scoop of protein with fat free milk, half of a banana and creatine. Set out on my workout routine and actually did very well. So, right now, I'm off to have my cup of oatmeal and 5 egg yokes/1 egg breakfast. Post as the day goes along regarding the diet accomplishments. Have a great day.

Today is my first day on the GHF program. I decided in the beginning of June that I was going to lose the last of the baby weight I'm still carrying around (my daughter will be 2 on July 19th) and get back to a healthy weight. I need to lose 17lbs to reach a healthy BMI. My ultimate goal is to lose 30lbs total to reach my "ideal" weight (the weight I'm happiest at :-) or fit into a size 2 (Once I fit into a size 2 I won't care what I weigh, if I'm a size 2 it's all good :-)
I've been working out consistantly for 8 years (lifting weights, running, yoga, pilates). Food is what has been holding me back from losing my pregnancy weight. I eat a healthy diet, but have had a hard time cutting enough calories to lose weight. I'm committed to doing that now and have found the things to eat that make it easier for me to do. I've been working with a trainer for the last month. He gave me a nutrition plan (very similiar to GHF) and I've lost 8 lbs without being hungry. So, I'm ready to get this weight off as quickly as possible (in a healthy manner).

Seems difficult in eating twice in the mornings. By the time I get to my third meal, it's around 1:30-2:00. Maybe I just need to get up a little earlier. I already get up at 7:00 am, eat a 1/2 meal just for the energy for my workout and then afterward, I have the other 1/2 plus a bit more since it's the most important meal due to the workout before hand. Any suggestions or does this sound ok?

Since I work from home, I feel like all I done today was cook, cook and cook. Then wash dishes...LOL. I normally try to cook ahead, but my frig is now so full with "stuff" that I cannot put another container in it. Had a cookout with friends this weekend, so the left overs are in there, a bowl of left over oatmeal, 2 jugs of milk, juice, fruit, etc, etc. Today my diet consisted of the following:
Breakfast:
Pre-Work Out
1 scoop of Protein/Fat Free Milk
Creatine
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 banana
waited an hour - worked out and had the following afterwards:
5 egg whites/1 egg with salsa and fat free sour cream (BIG MISTAKE). I love sour cream but fat free is horrible, especially on eggs. I swallowed 3/4 of them down with water but threw out the rest. Also had 1/2 cup of oatmeal.

My Dad loves to watch movies at home. He'll go out and buy candies to enjoy during. But, funny this is he never eats them. He knows my favorites are Sweetarts! But I'm not trying to eat candy. So, we have a few sweettarts sitting around the house along with some M&M's and Snickers and Reeses in the fridge...it's so temping. I picked up the M&M's today and talked myself out of it. I know we're not supposed to deprive ourselves of the food, or in this case candy, that we love, but...I'd hate to waste how far I've come, ya know? I figure maybe if I have a couple M&M's on a High Carb day or something. Oh yeah! My Grandmother, the best cook in town, made me a strawberry pie. Haha. Go figure. But, I'm stronger and I know I can do it. I just wouldn't mind sneaking a couple pieces in here and there without ruining my masterpiece, haha.
