Im feeling very frustrated. I went out to eat and thus far I havnt been following the plan. I will do good for a few meals.. or if I am lucky a few days and I usually find myself cheating.

My biggest culprit is dr. pepper. I know it is not good for me... on a lot of different levels but I have found it extremely hard to shake.

I really want to make major changes in my life. The biggest change is making my health a priority. I have been in a tunnel vision for the last four years, so I can complete my education. Ironically, by not eating healthy and exercising has made it harder... drinking dr. pepper helps me pay attention for a while, but then I crash and is counter productive...

Watching my habits-Part 1

Over the past month or so, I've gained a few good habits and noticed a lot of not so nice ones. I'm hoping to continue the ones that are healthy for me and try to modify or eliminate the poor ones.

Good Habits

1) Drinking lots of water - I have been drinking lots of water, so much in fact that I drink it more than anything else. I used to drink a lot of milk and juice, but now I am always getting water. It definitely hydrates me a lot better than the others do, and it helps me to feel fuller after I eat. The only drawback to this is my difference in consumption while at work compared to at home. I don't drink as much liquid at home for whatever reason, but it's something to improve.

Sick Day

LNMaresca@gmail.com's picture

UGH. I'm so not feeling well today. My stomach is doing somersaults. Not fun. I very well may have to pack it in early today. I did get my kickboxing in this morning. I wasn't feel sick then, but doing my step DVD later may be a challenge.

Anywho, here's my eating plan today:

Breakfast: oatmeal with some protein freeze, 1/2 cup egg whites, an orange, and water. A little later one, 1/4 cup plain yogurt with 1/4 cup sliced strawberries.
Snack: apple with 1 tbsp almond butter
Lunch: turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread with lettuce and tomato, and a hard boiled egg
Snacks (throughout afternoon): whey protein shake mixed with 1 tsp peanut butter and a banana and 1 cup skim milk; celery and carrots with hummus

Seems as if yesterday went off in a tail spin and never let up all day, therefore, I didn't get a moment to post. I did, however, change my routine a bit. I have been struggling on Tuesday's with doing Legs, Calves, Back, Biceps, Forearms and Abs. Therefore, I broke down the workout to include Wednesday's now. This is when I did my Legs. I was able to concentrate better on the workout without being so fatiqued on Tuesday. Right now, I think I might keep this routine unless I'm told otherwise :)

SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND

We'll today is a new today and so far it's going pretty good. Started off this morning with 1 scoop protein with fat free milk/blueberries/creatine. Next was my workout Phase I Beg /4 days a week/week 4/workout3. I was so surprised how less fatigue I got during the workout since I ate a bit more carbs before working out. Had a pretty good workout. Worked out my chest a bit hard today which was a good feeling. Afterwards I've had a large protein shake and 1 cup of oatmeal. Normally I eat eggs for protein but I'm kinda getting tired of them so I decided to switch today.

Ending Another Day

Robgalecole147@dishmail.net's picture

Thought I would post to the blog before heading to bed. Finished the day off with a good cardio walk. Pretty good healthy dinner and snack. I know I should post my meals on here but right now I'm kinda beat and my body is saying "lay me down". I will get better at this blogging before long. But right now, I"m off to bed. Hope you guys/gals have a great evening and blog with ya tomorrow.
