On to week 5ive...

xfortylove@yahoo.com's picture

I sadly didn't do my highly talked about cardio today. After Church, I slept a good couple hours. And for some reason, in all these four weeks, my Quads/Hamstrings/Butt have have KILLING me more than ever. You think I'd be immune to it by now if anything. I've been stretching, though, to work out the soreness. Week five is going to be a great one, I can feel it. I think I'm going to really challenge myself. Today I measured myself for the first time since the first time I did, which was a month ago(June 22). So far, I've lost 3 inches in my waist, 2 inches on each thigh, 1 inch on each arm, 3.5 inches around my hips, and my calves stayed the same. Which is fine with me, they weren't huge or anything to begin with. I've probably lost inches of fat but gained inches of muscle that replaced it. Whatever works. I'm just glad about my tummy/hip/thigh area, haha. Woohoo :D

I'm feeling slightly lazy today so I might bypass the gym during lunch to work out at home after work. Did my morning run as usual though.

Breakfast: oatmeal with protein freeze, an orange, and 1/2 cup egg whites. 4 oz fruit yogurt a little later on.
Snack: apple with almond butter
Lunch: turkey sandwich on whole wheat and a hard boiled egg
Snacks: (throughout afternoon) Luna bar, celery and carrot with hummus. After evening workout: whey protein shake
Dinner: 4 oz tilapia over spinach and 1 cup mixed veggies

No weight loss. :(

Day 8

TODAY IS DAY 8

Todays Thoughts: Hooray - 36.9% Bodyfat, that's a .6% loss last week :-). Scale weight was up to 153, but I know it's just because of the wine and carbs I ate last night. Because I weigh myself most days, an "official" weigh-in that's up from the week before doesn't bother me. I know my weight will come down in a couple of days. Also, my waist measurement was down by a 1/2 inch and my lower abdomen was down by 1 inch!

I had a great weekend - I enjoyed both birthday parties and kept to my meal plan. My husband and I had the opportunity to go out on Sunday for dinner, so I had a wonderful Italian meal (bread, pasta, etc.) and 2 glasses of my favorite Chianti :-) I'm proud of myself for not overeating and just enjoying the meal. We only get out without the kids once or twice a month and I'm going to keep these occasions as my "off plan" meals.

Wii & Weights! :)

dukowitz@gmail.com's picture

I updated my pic to include my phenomenal training partner, my Dad! :) In my opinion, he's one of the finest men to walk the face of the earth :)

Last night I got 31 minutes in with the Wii and did mainly cardio (28 min) w/ 3 min of a strength exercise.

You'll never guess what I had for breakfast before my workout this morning ....yup - a turkey sandwich (and 1/2 cup yogurt) along w/ my new super absorbent vitamins. After my workout I had sugar free oatmeal, a banana and a glass of milk.

Monday Workout
1 legged calf raises bwx20, bwx15
ab lounge crunches bwx25, bwx30

B-e-a-u-tiful day!

xfortylove@yahoo.com's picture

Today was an extremely good day. Oh happy day! Largely because I went to the gym early this morning instead of holding off until 2pm like usual. Gyming in the morning really makes your whole day better. And I know this, it's silly I don't do it more often. From working out earlier, I noticed it feels like I'm burning calories all day long. Whether or not it's true, I don't know. But man, I was hungry all day it seemed. I didn't have a lot of calories this morning, and when I did my cardio I'd burned off breakfast and some dinner from last night I suppose. Haha. I did good though. It went well.
