High Carb Day :D

xfortylove@yahoo.com's picture

Today was a pretty good day. I was stranded at the gym for four hours and didn't think to bring my swim suit or extra tennis balls..

Meal One- Medium Banana & 1/2 cup of Oatmeal. Total Cal= 259; Carb= 55g; Fat= 4g; Pro= 6g

Workout- Weeks 5, workout 2, LOTS OF CARDIO. I burned over 700 Calories! And, I only had 259 Cal for breakfast! So, that wasn't wise. I was at the gym for over four hours, I was so hungry, I drank more and more water to curb it until I was picked up. I should have brought a snack, but I was in such a rush again this morning. I promise I'll better prepare my food the night before....starting NOW!

Relationships

dukowitz@gmail.com's picture

I'm just curious ...
I've read before that for a relationship to be viable in the long term that there needs to be 6 positive things for every negative. I really don't know how accurate that is or any details behind the study but it would make sense that the good should probably outweigh the bad and if there were more negatives than positives that the relationship would eventually deteriorate and desist. (at least in a healthy relationship - i would hope)

But, that got me to thinking about our relationships with working out. Do we have 6 good things for every negative thing regarding the healthy active lifestyles we're trying to pursue? or is it closer to 1-1 or are we running in the red?

Day 11

TODAY IS DAY 11

Todays Thoughts: Having trouble getting in the starchy carb at lunch. The program I was on before GHF only had protein and fiberous carbs at lunch and I'm just not in the habit. I'm also a little scared of what it will do to my results. I'm going to put all of my favorite lunches into ProTrack and modify them to include a starchy carb. Hopefully if I know the exact portions I need this will become easier to follow.

I've been walking most nights pushing my 2 yr old daughter in the jogging stroller to get in extra cardio (and because it's fun), but I can see that this is going to come to an end soon :-( Grace doesn't want to sit in the stroller anymore. Instead she wants to get out and walk too. Which is fine, I don't mind her exploring, but 2 yr olds walk very slowly and stop a lot. I don't have any other time to fit in the extra cardio. Hmmm...maybe I can get my kids to play the Wii Fit with me?

blah

Somehow I messed up my blogs and now my old entries have all but disapeared. Oh well. Start off new again I guess.

Today I woke up late, my alarm was set to the wrong time. (damn it) So far so good though, I trained with my trainer and later tonight I'm going to do some cardio with a friend of mine.
