Feeling good! First workout done.

Also I finished my first workout of week one, and I must say I feel great!

By the end of the shoulders section of the work out, after the Arnold Press, Upright Row, and Front Shoulder Raise, I can honestly say I've never felt better about a chest/shoulder day. After the triceps exercises I was right where I wanted to be - completely spent and feeling great!

Then I went on to do the supersets of Raised Leg Crunches and Hanging Leg Lifts, and I'm certainly a big fan of doing the crunches to fatigue and then immediately doing the leg lifts to fatigue. It feels good know you did all you could, and I certainly felt that way.

It was a light workout today. I wanted to get my Dad back working out (as well as myself) and we needed to avoid the Valsalva maneuver to keep from exacerbating an eye injury. If I need to get my fix w/ heavier weights then I'll just pop into a gym sometime. It's finals week at school so, heavy weights (or much of anything else) aren't too much of a concern at this time.

1/2 Century Man: Week 8, Brother in Arms

I'm late finishing my week 8 workouts but I got a got one in with my brother today. The gym was busier than usual so my cardio was pushed to the end of my workout instead of at the beginning. I don't mind changing things up from time to time, but I felt the putting my cardio first warmed up all my muscles better for the weight session. My brother felt the same way, regardless the work out went well with the two of us tag teaming the super sets and burning up the biceps. Good company, good burn, pain free. It was a good day.
