....good & bad ...

on the upside - I Aced both of the test I took this week - on the downside I'd probably have to give myself a D- or an F for eating today. I kind of slept in a bit again today and didn't get my first meal in until around 2 p.m. then I just slept some more until my evening class and did 31 min of Wii training afterwards. I can't really think of any other meals I had today, just some pretzels after class and a few almonds. I've been in kind of a sleep, study, school, repeat type of mode for the last couple days (w/ some Wii thrown in)

I do have grocery shopping on my agenda for tomorrow so that should help the situation some. It's been a while.

Feel fine

Sorry couldn't make it yesterday. Lost internet connection.
I did strenght training this morning

1st Oatmeal, sweetner, low fat milk and a bite of chicken

2nd brownrice, sardines mixed veggies

3rd brownrice sardines mixed veggies

4th ricecake with plain fatfree cottage cheese

5th chickenpie (without the pastry)

Feeling "fat" today

I don't know if anyone else ever has these days, but there are days when I can definitely feel lighter than others. Today is not one of those days. On Tuesday I felt great. Today, not so much.

My workouts today were 48 minutes of kickbox this morning and 45 minutes of aerobic dance after work. I know that I'm only supposed to do one 45 minute cardio workout today but I feel very odd not doing something after work (if I haven't logged in a second workout during lunch, that is). But it's not nearly as intense as the kickboxing.

As for food today:
Breakfast: oatmeal with a couple of small spoonfuls of protein freeze, 1/2 cup egg whites and 1/4 cup skim milk

Exercise:
Wed - 30 min recumbent bike (5.5 miles)
Th - 32 min treadmill intervals (2.3 miles)

So on Tuesday as I was doing my workout out with E my personal trainer, we were talking about my upcoming 5k race. He was telling me that the night before I should eat a lot of pasta/ carbs and that the morning of I should only have at most a banana w/pb. I asked about a protein shake, and he said he wouldn't recommend it since it'd sit pretty heavily.

Now we come to today - my running day. I get up and I have a bowl of oatmeal, two eggs, and a tbsp of pb. I'm feeling pretty good - full, but not overstuffed. I get to the gym and decide that I'm going to try something a little different today - do my run with no incline. Usually I "run" on the flat, and then have an incline of 4 or higher for my "walk" interludes. So, I did that. I was feeling great - even got myself going as fast as 6.5 mph for a good bit of time. Managed to do 2 miles in a bit less than 26 minutes.
