Got Spuds?

I found 'em! :)
I honestly don't think I've ever bought potatoes before, mine have always come in a box but at the very end of my shopping spree tonight ...right across from the bananas was a huge display of bagged potatoes! Potatoes must be about the most perfect carbohydrate food out there! only 110 calories - Zero Fat - Zero Cholesterol - Zero Sodium and a whopping 620 mg of Potassium and 45% of the USRDA of Vitamin C! ...just 26 grams of the cleanest carbs ya ever sunk your teeth into :)

I know Julia has mentioned the turkey sandwiches before and I have been including that as a staple over the last few months but tonight I went ahead and dumped out an entire loaf of bread and and made about a dozen sandwiches each w/ two slices of turkey and one slice of "triple calcium" cheese all neatly tucked away in individual zip lock bags just waiting to be devoured! Let's see ...each slice of turkey is 30cal, 60 for the cheese and 35cal per slice bread so that's 195cal per sandwich and a total of 13g protein per sandwich.

The scale is not my friend

LNMaresca@gmail.com's picture

Yep, my fat day definitely was reflected on my scale this morning. It said I gained 4 pounds this week (and NOT in muscle). Of course, 10 minutes later is also said I gained another half pound so I don't really pay attention to it all that much, but since I wasn't feeling all that great body-wise to begin with these last few days, that definitely didn't help.

This morning was my run and this afternoon is Phase 5/Week 7/Workout 3.

Took the wrong pair!

Exercise:
(a.m.) 30 min. recumbent bike (6 miles)
(p.m.) 45 min ST w/E

Food:
Meal 1: oatmeal, eggs
Meal 2: 1/2 of protein shake (got busy and the rest melted)
Meal 3: veggie omlette, handful fries, 1/4 slice cake*
Meal 4: Cottage Cheese Loaf, spinach, string cheese
Meal 5: Baked sweet potato, pinto beans, spinach

*Today we had lunch catered by one of our vendors. They bought from Zea's Grill which is a steak and seafood type place. The only thing they brought that was not meat were the fries. So I ate around 6 or 7 of them. We also had this MASSIVE anniversary cake given to us by the building's management. Our actual anniversary isn't till Aug 3rd, but oh well. I had a small portion of that.
