Today was a mixture of things...

xfortylove@yahoo.com's picture

I woke up with a sarcastic smile thinking, "Great, it's gonna be a fat day." Usually, every morning I feel that much closer to my goal, but this morning was differnt. I'm thinking it was because after dinner I got sleepy and went to bed before my food settled...I could be totally wrong. BUT, I could be totally right ;).

As the day went on, I checked out some exercise classes here, I fell in love with the intermediate body sculping! I forgot 'bout them lil' suckers! What a great way to wake up and start your day. I usually do my training and carido after 2pm. I'm sure it's okay to do more workouts than recommended? As long as I'm eating all my calories?

Nutritionist approves!

LNMaresca@gmail.com's picture

I met with my nutritionist yesterday who liked the GHF diet plan, and said it was similar to what she was trying to get me to do, although she didn't think it mattered quite so much when I ate my fruit. But she helped me plan both low- and high-carb days to fit what she wants me to do and GHF. She's also trying to consistently get me to eat at least 1669 calories per day, my minimum metabolic rate. It's not easy for me. For years I ate only about 900 calories and worked out like crazy so this is though. She's convinced that's why I'm not losing weight, but it's very hard for me to do that. However, today I came up with a menu for my high-carb day that should do it!

Weekend is Here - "Rest"

Robgalecole147@dishmail.net's picture

First of all, let me start off in saying that I am new to Blogging. I have never done it or never felt the need to start until probably now. I am new to Global Fitness and I'm currenly beginning to start on my 3rd week of the Intermediate Muscle Gain workouts. I use to work out but it has been 6 years since I picked up a weight. Right now it seems the legs day are giving me the most pain. I start off really well, then I get so fatigued by the end of the leg workouts that I cannot finish out the rest of my workouts with my arms or back. I have been communicating this with Chad and he recommended a different approach on those particular days. I'll give this a shot next week.

Friday Bike & Weights

dukowitz@gmail.com's picture

I had a light workout with my Dad in the morning and in the evening took my first bike ride of the year which consisted of a 17 mile event called the Tour de Belleville. It was a simple, local event and I was surprised at how many people turned out for the event - somewhere between 1,300-1,600 depending on who you asked. I was also able to break out my Garmin which hasn't been used for some time. I found my heart rate monitor today but couldn't locate it prior to the event.

Including two stops for water I averaged 10.0 mph and rode a little over 18 miles total.
