4 AM

dukowitz@gmail.com's picture

I'm not sure what time stamp will be on this blog but it's about 4 a.m. where I'm at now but my homework is complete and meets expectations :)
I might be a little too persnickety and stubborn w/ my homework but, I've got the time and I see that as my job. This makes the third homework assignment in a row w/ a grade of 102% :D

Julia mentioned smoking to me in a previous reply and it did get me thinking about that again. Even though I don't have any specific or particular designs on quitting it would be GREAT if I didn't smoke in the house. With that in mind, I came up with a 25% plan. I'm marking 5 cigarettes in each pack with a yellow highlighter on the filter and those cigarettes are to be smoked either outside or in the garage.

High Calorie MEAL REPLACEMENT Powder

Robgalecole147@dishmail.net's picture

Hey guys...
This week started off exceptional. Had a great workout Mon and Tues. Jogged two miles on Tuesday at 90 degree weather and actually felt great when I finished. When I finished running, I decided to spray some evergreen trees in front of our house for aphids. The evergreens were dropping their needles, so we had a guy out to determine the best treament. He stated that we should really attack them with this spray. So, on Tuesday, I did just that. But I forgot one major element. I did not wear a mask. Boy - - have I paid for it. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail but I was out of commission yesterday all day. And yes, that was a stupid thing.

Day 18

TODAY IS DAY 18

Todays Thoughts: Took a long walk last night after dinner. I really enjoyed it and didn't feel "wiped out" after. I think I'm going to keep the cardio I do on weightlifting days limited to walking. Anything more than that just leaves me with no energy.

Busy working again today and then this evening I have to get everything ready for my son to head out of town with Grandma tomorrow (step-grandma is only 42 yrs old and has no children of her own so she realllllly has fun with and spoils her "grandkids" ;). They're going to visit her sister and nephews for the weekend. He should have a blast and really enjoy some time away from mom, dad and little sis :)

Sam Who?

xfortylove@yahoo.com's picture

Not to fear, Sam is here!

I took a vacation with my family to Santa Cruz, Ca. Did the boradwalk, traveled the beaches and went to the Mystery Spot...have y'all heard of that? It's pretty interesting. I brought my laptop but I was only able to get internet connection on one night for a limited amount of time in a certain spot...it was weird. So, I wrote Chad about my workout instead of blogging. I know you're all wondering how I did with the GHF plan...was I a good girl? Well, I have my proud moments as well as my not so proud. I didn't keep track of anything, however, I didn't enduldge in all the cookies and snacks that my family were. And they were sitting beside me in the car! I'm sure I ate more calories that I originally was supposed to. My morning and day meals were okay, I'd have a turkey sandwich or a salad or carrots and cottage cheese....it was the 'going out to dinner' part that killed me. I remembered how to order at resturaunts, for the most part. The two bad nights I had was Clam Chowder Bread Bowl, and Chille Verde Burrito(just chille, no beans, rice etc..)! I didn't get nachos, though, and we all know that I'm in love with nachos. So, it could have been worse and could have been better. But, all I can do now is move forward. Like that quote from chad that said being defeated is only temporary, giving up is permanate. So, I tripped over those pebbles a few times, but it's not gonna stop me from crossing that mountain! :D

Shiny Bronze Pig!!!

dukowitz@gmail.com's picture

I got a Brand New Shiny Bronze Pig on Wii!!! :)

For those not familiar w/ the Wii, there's a sort of piggy bank w/ a screen that makes up the body of the pig that alternates between showing you how many minutes you've exercised on the Wii for the day and how much total time you've put in on the Wii.

Every time you complete an exercise it drops in gold coins equal to the number of minutes you exercised. I just broke 10 hours total time on the Wii so it threw a little party for me then changed to a nice shiny bronze color! :)

I'll tell ya, it really doesn't take much to make me happy!
