Feels like I'm back to day one :)

Today went well. I've been off for such a long time that I forogt that I need to eat every 2-3 hours. Sometimes I would get muchies in between meals. But, I did okay overall. When I think about it, taking such a long vacation was really dumb of me. Well, maybe it wasn't the vacation that was dumb, but how I handled it. I wanted to relax and not worry about counting like usual. But, it's really not that hard to do, I just got lazy. Here's an analogy of how I feel from when I started to now: I started this program off in a jogging stance, not knowing where I was really going, but paying attention and excited. Then after being around a couple times, I began to notice familar things so I felt the urge to speed up. I got to the point where I was running through this program and knew it like the back of my hand. I knew the ups and downs and all the sharp turns. Then all of a sudden, I chose to come to a stop. Relaxed a bit too long. When I started back up, I felt a lil lost...things aren't as familiar as they once were two weeks ago. All because I thought I could do it without really "doing it". So, if that made any sense to you to you (haha), I suggest to not deprive yourself of a well deserved vacation, but to not forget about GHF. Embed it into your head even more when you're on vacation. We've come so far and work hard just to let it go on vacation, too. And always make sure to get a decent amount of exercise in. To me, I think that's more important than counting calories at times. It's weird, I feel like I'm starting over again. Oh well...it's all good. I can only learn from it! And I have. Now I know to better plan and think ahead. Anyway, today wasn't really HARD, it just wasn't as natural. So, all in all, I had a learning experience today. Didn't do as well as I could have, tomorrow will be better. I'll bet money on it. ;) We should totally make a money pit to see who loses the most body fat...Anyway, back to my day...

No luck here

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I have been having no luck whatsoever losing weight. I got on the scale this morning and I've gained some weight. Sorry if I sound defensive, but before anyone says that it's muscle, it's not. I have not lost any body fat and feel terrible about the way I look right now. :( I may scrap GHF since it has not been helping me (although I'm happy it's helping all of you!) and do my own thing. I just don't want to get too few calories as I did for several years, but it seems like my body is not responding to the higher calories. I'm just gaining weight.

10+20=1

Audrey just reminded me of my math days so I'm coming up with another New Math

10+20=1

All that's needed to solve that equation are the units and conversion factors. :)

What we have there are 10 salads PLUS 20 turkey sandwiches equals 1 pound of fat lost.

Chemically (and loosely speaking)we could state

10Sa + 20Tu ---> 1Fa

(where Sa=Salads, Tu=Turkey and Fa = Fat)

This would be an exothermic reaction because heat is given off.
There is also a time component to the equation so the math portion would be a function of time.

In math we have Groups, Rings & Fields (in the realm of Algebra anyway) - I'd have some defining to do ...
