Took today off entirely from training but well aware that there are only 6 days left in the month and I need six more lifting workouts to meet my objective of 10. I'm thinking of a six day split with each day being chest/back, shoulders arms, legs then repeating to get my six workouts in. I'm tending towards working opposing muscle groups as opposed to a push pull routine since there's a bit more gratification w/ the pump which makes opposing muscle groups in this time constrained situation a bit more attractive.

I also need 40 miles of biking which comes out to 6 2/3 miles per day. I imagine I'll try to do a little more than 6 2/3 on a single day since that was the rationalization I was telling myself I would do which enabled me to put off any cycling to this point. I might have to pull off a 30 mile bike ride this coming Sunday so I'll only need 10 miles over the next 5 days to make up the balance of 40 miles.

I'm looking forward to October objectives and a new "fastest" PR in the half marathon - sub 2:45 is the goal.

OK ...I admit it ...had a third glass of wine while posting this blog but don't want take the time to add up the additional calories to my daily total ...

but ...I'm still going to make a 2:45 time next month and in December I'll hit my next big 1/2 marathon running goal of 2:30
