So I still haven't quite figured out the dynamics of this diet. I really need to sit down and map out my meals strictly according to the GHF diet. Right now I'm kind of loosely following it. But I'm all about small steps since I've been following the same eating plan for years. It was huge for me to switch to oatmeal in the mornings!
But today I had cereal. Special K, which I love. On my next high carb day I might mix it in with some Fiber One as well. I had my cereal with a banana and a small protein shake.
My achiness is gone today! Whew! Yesterday was really tough. I think that spin class in the evening really helped though. I swear, that's the best medicine for achy muscles ... more exercise. It's always worked for me.
Meal: 1 cup of Special K with a small banana and skim milk, and a small protein shake.
Meal 2: one half of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole wheat bread.
Meal 3: turkey sandwich with an apple
Meal 4: a hard boiled egg, 1/3 cup of egg substitute and celery and carrots
Meal 5: a dinner salad with 1/2 cup of chicken, 1/4 cup of brown rice, a tablespoon of almonds, and a tablespoon of sunflower seeds.
And at least 40 oz of water throughout the day.
