I can! I'm so incredibly sore. And not being sore yesterday, I made an hour Pilates appointment for today! My friend's little brother works at my gym and he's trying to get certified so he can teach his own Pilates class and he needs trainee hours. I thought, "Why not?", so I signed up. He made me feel so "manly". He told me that I have over developed quads, I stick my chest out too much(it's a girl thing), my left calve is over worked, my traps are lop sided, my arch is flatter in my left foot, I have a "bulky" muscle type, My left knee is hyper extended, and I slouch...I mean, he just made me feel so not pretty and/or dainty, haha. It's okay, though, I'm a tough cookie. If anything, it just made me laugh. But all I was really thinking about was how interesting this workout would be due to my soreness. I was so sore that I couldn't really feel if my muscles were being were worked. He'd ask me, "Okay, do you feel it working in your hamstring?" and I just looked at him clueless, I had no idea because in every movement I felt soreness, haha. I mean, I don't think I worked myself out THAT hard yesterday, I just wasn't well-rested to do Pilates today. But, I did my best. He probably thought I was a weakling. :]
Some not so great thoughts...(don't read this if you don't like sad stories) Some of you know that I have a bad left knee. Well, now I'm telling you why. I was in a car accident almost exactly three years ago. August 26th, 2005. I wasn't driving, my friend Corey was. There were two other people with us. We were going up to the Del Puerto Canyon. That specific night there was a viewpoint at the top where you could see planet Mercury clearly. It was a curvy drive up the canyon. He had South Park playing in his DVD player. I, not being into that show, was leaned back, relaxing with eyes shut. But, he must have looked away for a moment. Not noticing a sharp turn. Well, when he looked up it was too late. It was dark out and I remember feeling that jolt of him correcting the turn. I saw gravel from the headlights then I just squeezed my eyes shut and prayed. All of a sudden I felt us sliding down the hill and flipping. The sound of it is sooo sharp in my memory. I just kept thinking to myself, "Okay, I'm still alive..I'm still alive..." with every roll/flip. Then we came to a stop. The horn was loud. The brights were on. As well as South Park. We had hit a tree on my side, the passenger side. Now from all the flipping and rolling, it caused the front of the car to push back towards us. I was in a really werid position due to everything moving back. I was stuck. To this day, I don't know how I got out. But, I did. I asked if everyone was okay, but I wasn't getting an answer. About 5 seconds (which felt like 20 min) later, two of the other people with us started makin noises. I looked for help as the others stayed together in 'lala land'. I had to climb up the hill that we rolled down in order to get the the street. There was no one out, it was about 11pm. The two people that did drive by thought I was crazy and kept on driving. I mean, I had blood all over me and was waving my hands aggressivly. I had 3 cell phones with me trying to get service. 911 had no idea where we were calling from and said they couldn't help unless I knew. At the time, I had never been there before and since I was relaxing in the car, I wasn't looking at road signs. I called a few people that I had told where I was going, but they didn't remember. I did remember seeing a landmark and when I finally got ahold of 911 again, I told them the direction I remember going and that landmark. It was a huge rock with graffiti over it. They knew where we were and were on their way. My knee was bleeding and pushed out of place and back into place. It was the size of a cantalope. When I'd got back to the car, Kevin was out helping Nichole. She was enclosed. Corey was still in the driver's seat. He wouldn't talk to me. The driver side was up in the air, so I climbed up the tires to reach him. I had asked him to wiggle his fingers if he could hear me. I tried to help him out but realized he didn't make it. The steering wheel crush him. I'm the only one that remembers what happened, the other two blacked out. I mean, I guess it's for the better. In all honestly, I'm lucky to even be here right now. And with all limbs attached. I usually try not to get too into this story but I've been thinking about it a lot lately and I needed to "blog" it out. I also just want to stress safe driving to everyone, because it's not how great of a driver you are, it's all those tricky lil curves and .3456 seconds that you look away. Just be extra careful!! There are far too many people that love you. So, be cautious. I'll attach some pictures of the car if you want to get a better explaination.
