Fat Kid Turned Fitness Pro

Challenged by a tendency to gain fat easily and an early obsession with food, Joey's desire to become fit, lean and strong led him to an education and career in fitness. Even as a fitness pro though, Joey still constantly struggled with the "fat kid" inside.

Joey saw his weight yo-yo between extremes over the course of 15 years until he ballooned up to 170 lbs (at 5'2" that's a lot) during one the most challenging times of his life.

When his "baggy drawstring sweatpants" didn't fit anymore - he knew it was time to take control. From that day on Joey knew the secret to permanent fitness success lied within the mind more than anything else.

Busy in the Fitness Business

As he grew personally, Joey was able to use this experience to help hundreds of others who came to him for personal training, nutritional guidance and lifestyle management for improvements in fitness and overall well-being. His clients who embraced the concept of mindset adjustment reaped the long term benefits of a new way of living.

His success with his clients led to a schedule of 14 hour days working with people on a one-on-one basis. Not conducive to family life and realizing this way of helping others was limiting the number of people he could reach, led Joey to create a line of fitness DVD's with the intent of helping people all over world through his simple methods and effective programs.

His first program, The Leg, Butt, Hip and Thigh Makeover, rolled out with so much success - it wasn't long before his clients were asking for "more, more, more!" He then created six more DVD sets and has several more planned for release in the next ten months.

Food and Values for Fitness Succes

A firm believer in clean nutrition, Joey is a big advocate of organic foods and credits much of his own long term fitness success to giving his own diet a thorough yet simple, makeover.

One of Joey's main mantras is that fitness success is basically guaranteed when the fuel for motivation comes from one's own values - values that are built on the desire to get the most out of the gift of life, by living a fitness lifestyle.

According to Joey, logic and common sense are two of the most important elements to maintain in your lifelong journey of fitness success. He reminds you that, "Fitness is not a thing that you do - but rather a state of being."
