Education and Credentials

Roger White, BS, CSCS, SSC, received a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from Wayne State University. He is dual credentialed as a Certified Strength and Condition Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Specialist in Sports Conditioning by the International Sports Science Association.

 

His Sports Career and Passion

Born in California and raised in Detroit, Roger began playing sports at a very young age.  Playing sports and wanting to be the best, Roger began to study sport performance programs and the science behind it.  Roger excelled at football and track at De La Salle High School and went on to Wayne State University to play receiver on their football team for 4 years.  Roger was elected co-captain during his Junior year.  While at Wayne State, Roger studied Kinesiology. Throughout his athletic career, he had a passionate desire to be his very best. This desire has lead him to help athletes improve their performance.

Roger is the Founder and Owner of Sport X Training where he helps athletes improve sport performance from the youth level through the college level. For the past 12 years, Roger has been committed to sports performance training. Specializing in speed, agility, quickness, and conditioning, Roger has helped many individuals improve performance and excel in competition.

 

Personal Philosophy and Additional Work

"My philosophy has always been to design training programs that not only enhance performance, but keeps athletes injury free. No athlete is made the same and each program should vary accordingly. I train athletes to excel as champions."

Currently, he is finishing up his first book, Developing Youth Speed and finishing research on female soccer players. In the past, Roger has been featured in the Metro Health News, and on Bodybuilding.com.
